LA TANIA SKI RESORT
La Tania is a charming, traffic-free ski resort located between Courchevel and Méribel in the heart of the world-famous Les 3 Vallées, the largest linked ski area in the world. Built within a beautiful pine forest, La Tania combines traditional Alpine charm with direct access to over 600 kilometres of ski pistes, 183 ski lifts, and skiing from 1,100 metres up to 3,230 metres. The village itself sits at approximately 1,400 metres, making it an ideal destination for families, couples, groups and skiers of all abilities.

Journey times are approximately 1 hour 45 minutes from Chambéry Airport, 2 hours from Lyon Airport, 2 hours 30 minutes from Geneva Airport, 2 hours 30 minutes from Grenoble Airport, and just 35–40 minutes from Moûtiers-Salins-Brides-les-Bains Train Station, the closest railway station to the resort. La Tania offers immediate access to the vast Three Valleys ski area, allowing visitors to ski seamlessly into Courchevel, Méribel, Val Thorens, Les Menuires and Saint Martin de Belleville. The resort is ideal for beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers alike, with wide tree-lined runs, excellent snowmaking and easy access to some of Europe's most famous pistes. Ski schools including New Generation Ski School and Supreme Ski School provide professional lessons for children, adults and snowboarders throughout the season.

The ski season normally runs from early December until late April, depending on snow conditions. The 2025/26 winter season is scheduled from 6 December 2025 until 19 April 2026, with most ski lifts operating daily from approximately 9:00 am until 4:30–5:00 pm, although opening hours vary depending on weather and the time of year.
Getting around La Tania couldn't be easier. The resort itself is largely pedestrian-friendly, while free shuttle buses operate regularly between La Tania and nearby Le Praz, connecting visitors to the wider Courchevel valley throughout the day and into the evening. Additional public buses link La Tania with Moûtiers and other nearby resorts during the ski season.
Away from the slopes, visitors can enjoy snowshoeing, winter hiking, sledging, spa facilities, mountain restaurants and stunning Alpine scenery. Families appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, while experienced skiers enjoy quick access to the extensive Three Valleys terrain.
Accommodation ranges from cosy self-catering apartments to luxury chalets and ski-in/ski-out hotels. Popular places to stay include Hotel Montana, Résidence Pierre & Vacances Le Britania, Résidence Grand Bois, Résidence Le Christiania and numerous privately owned chalets throughout the village. Thanks to its compact layout, most accommodation is within a short walk of the main gondola.
La Tania has an excellent selection of restaurants serving traditional Savoyard cuisine, pizzas, steaks and international dishes. Popular restaurants include Le Farçon (Michelin-starred), Le Bouc Blanc, La Taiga, Pub Le Ski Lodge, Le Chrome and several mountain restaurants where visitors can enjoy lunch with spectacular views across the Three Valleys.
Despite its peaceful atmosphere, La Tania offers a lively après-ski scene. Popular venues include Pub Le Ski Lodge, Le Chrome Bar, La Taiga Bar and several cosy mountain bars serving local beers, cocktails and live music throughout the winter season. Visitors looking for even more nightlife can easily reach nearby Courchevel and Méribel within minutes by taxi or bus.
